Persona:
Personality: Tavor is a social outcast, avoiding contact with any animal if possible. He always seems to be constantly nervous, and looks around often, as if something will spring out of the shadows. He is a coward, fleeing from almost every situation that he feels puts him in danger or makes him feel very uncomfortable. If it is completely mandatory that he must put himself in a social situation, he will appear very nervous, displaying insecurity and fear through his words and body language. He may even start to shake from fear. It is very hard to earn his trust, as one must show unending kindness and loyalty towards him for about a year for him to open up.
Beneath all this fear, nervousness, and insecurity, Tavor is a natural sweetheart, showing kindness and giving a helping hand to those in need of it, especially pups or young animals. Sometimes his kind nature is strong enough to break through his fearful outer shell, even if he was feeling threatened a few moments before. If someone he has come to love betrayed him or passed away, it would break his heart, and he would fall deeper into his hopeless despair.
Another quality that lies beneath the nervous covering is a dash of playfulness. If he finds someone to call a friend, he will often play a bit with that individual, but around nobody else. And if Tavor ever does play, he never takes it too far or plays too long; he almost never plays with his friend in the presence of any other animals either, preferring to keep it as a private and special occasion.
Tavor also has a love for beauty and adventure, as he always wondered what else was out there beyond what his gaze could see. He secretly longs to see a pine forest in the winter; the brilliant and fiery colors of a deciduous forest in the fall; a natural garden with unique flowers of bright and beautiful colors, and to hear the roar of a ferocious waterfall as it tumbled down into the lake below.
And last, but definitely not least, Tavor carries with him the trait of loyalty. Once you earn this fox's trust, you will never lose it. Tavor always sticks by his friends side, this being one of the rare cases in which he would not run from danger, no matter how frightened or terrified he felt. If his friend did something very hurtful to Tavor, he would just forgive, but not forget, and try to fix things. Even if this friend was to die, Tavor would remember the things he had learned from that friend, the things they had said to him, and live by them. If a friend made a last request to Tavor, or set a goal, but died before it was accomplished, Tavor would do everything in his power to do whatever his friend's request was, stopping at nothing.
And most of all, Tavor wants to find someone like Kalina, someone who he can open up to, and be happy with. He keeps wondering who it will be, but the real question is: is there someone out there like Kalina, who he can show his true self to, or will he be forever caught in his painful, unforgetting anguish?
Likes: Pups, beautiful things, peace, having someone to call a friend, seeing new places, snow.
Dislikes: War, blood, silence, loss of a loved one, being made fun of, always being afraid, wolves.
Strengths: Well...none yet.
Weaknesses: His constant nervousness, his past, his tendency to be a coward, not being able to tell someone how he feels, and he tends to shut himself off from everyone else.
Habits: Looking over his shoulder and running away I suppose.
Talents: None...
Relations:
Parents: Arash-Father-Dead Casilda-Mother-Dead
Siblings: None
Pups: None
Best Bud: Kalina-Dead
Friends: Kalina-Best Friend
Accalia-Foster Mother
Enemies: It seems as if everyone is an enemy to Tavor.
Crush: He had some feelings for Kalina.
Mate: He had hoped Kalina would be the one.

History:
Tavor was born into a clan of foxes, an odd occurrence as foxes are solitary animals. His father, Arash, was the leader of this fox clan, and Casilda, Tavor's mother, used to rule with him, but died of a terrible sickness a few days after Tavor was born. It is quite unknown how this clan of foxes came about, as it had been so for generations. There are varying opinions in this mystery, some very different than others. Some say it was because of a terrible danger that the foxes had to unite and face it together; others say that years ago, the clan was actually made up of wolves, but by breeding and reproducing with foxes, all the wolves were replaced by foxes. But however this band of red-furred bushy-tailed creatures came about, they were still here, and someday Tavor would be their leader.
And with Arash knowing this, when Tavor was 4 months old, he began teaching him how to reign when he moved on from being a prince to becoming a king. He was taught when to go to war with an opposing species, and specifically which species his clan would be able to conquer. He learned what to look for in a vixen when the time for choosing a queen came. Despite having all this training and things to learn, Tavor still had time to play by himself and with the one other kit who was not jealous of his heir position: Kalina.
Everyday Tavor and Kalina would come together and romp around, sometimes play-fighting, other times laying in the sun and talking about things with each other. The other kits, Bellamy, Red, and Shade refused to say anything to Tavor except insults and taunts, and they soon did the same to Kalina when they saw how much she hung out with the prince. Tavor didn't appreciate this, but Kalina told him to ignore the three, and Tavor agreed, finding that this often annoyed the other kits more than sneering something back at them. So while Bellamy, Red, and Shade got angrier and angrier at the two, Tavor and Kalina talked about how they could rule the clan together.
"Tavor the lose-or!" Bellamy would taunt, making the two words rhyme. "Too bad you'll never be a real king!" Red said after Bellamy. "And that girlfriend of yours is just helping to bring you down!" Shade sneered. These words were just part of Tavor's day; he always counted on hearing something like this whenever the three kits spotted him. "Little princess!" Bellamy would say to Kalina, and the two she-kits would repeat it after him. These are the words that soon became part of Kalina's day after Bellamy, Red, and Shade noticed how she spent so much time with Tavor.
But they rarely went farther than that, except for Bellamy. Tavor wasn't afraid of Red or Shade, but he was intimidated by Bellamy. On the few occasions when Tavor would take a walk by himself, Bellamy would slip off after him. "Where ya going, Prince Charming?" he taunted as he chased after Tavor. The young fox just ignored Bellamy like Kalina had told him, but he knew what was coming next. Bellamy caught up to him, and stuck a paw out in front of Tavor and tripped him. Then Tavor felt a paw push his face into the dirt. A small growl came from his throat. "What was that? You like the dirt?" Bellamy teased before knocking Tavor over to the side and padding away laughing. Tavor ignored it, though it was hard to, the way Bellamy kept doing the same thing over and over again. "I'll just show him when me and Kalina rule this clan together."
And that they almost would. At the age of 10 months, Arash stepped down, and let his still young son rule the foxes. Everyone liked the way Tavor ruled; they said it was just like his parents had done, except for the three who were more jealous now than ever. Even though Tavor remembered how Bellamy, and the sisters Red and Shade had teased him and Kalina, he obeyed what his father had taught him and still treated them fairly. Soon one of the foxes gave him a nickname: Kid King, because of his age and status, and soon it was used by everyone in the clan, though only in casual matters.
But soon Bellamy, Red, and Shade weren't the only ones hating the 'Kid King.' The spirit of a past king, a terrible, cruel dictator, awoke in the cave where Tavor, now a year old, slept. The cave was where all the kings and queens of the clans slept, and Tavor began to feel a disturbance when he went to bed at night. He just tried to shake it off, but soon the feeling of being watched by malicious eyes followed him wherever he went. One night, before he fell asleep, Tavor searched the cave, but found nothing out of the ordinary, though the evil gaze still seemed to burn his red pelt. He once again tried to shake the feeling, but it stuck with him.
Soon Tavor began to hear things at night, such as the horrible sound of claws scraping across the stone walls of the cave he slept in, and demonic-sounding whispers breathing into his ear, though he could never figure out what it was saying. Along with this, he would sometimes see glimpses of piercing red eyes glaring from the back of his cave which almost immediately disappeared. Other times he would see a floating black form with the head of a fox out of the corner of his eye, or when he looked over his shoulder. And these did make Tavor feel uneasy, but it was one incident that made him truly terrified. The fox woke up one morning to feel something sticky all over his chest, and he looked down to see his white chest fur dyed red. He gasped, and started licking in order to get the blood off. Then he padded over to the little pool of water outside his cave, and saw that only one thing remained-an x-shaped scar lying over where his heart was. He tried to cover it with his fur, and it seemed to work. Things also appeared to get better after this; he no longer heard phantom noises or saw strange things.
However, things took a turn for the worse one fateful late afternoon. Tavor was laying beneath an outcrop of rock with Kalina. The two had grown much closer, and even had somewhat of a romantic relationship; it seemed as if their puphood dreams of ruling together would come true in the next few months at last. Suddenly, there was a loud yelp from up on the rock Tavor and Kalina were beneath. They both jumped up, but just Tavor climbed up to the top. Once he got his paws on the surface of the rock, what he saw made one of his silver-tipped paws slide off the edge.
As he regained his balance, he stared at the gruesome sight in front of him. It was Arash, his own father, laying in a pool of blood with his neck slashed open. Tavor froze, and felt his heart skip a beat. The rock he was standing on seemed to lurch and crumble beneath his paws. Before he could react again, the screech of Kalina reached his ears from down below, which was followed by gasps and shrieks of horror. Tavor, still in shock, clumsily stumbled down the stone stairs, and found himself staring at the same sight he had just seen, only Kalina was the fox laying on the ground this time.
No... he thought, and stumbled, almost falling to the ground, his gaze locked on the horrific scene. No...no no no! his mind screamed at him. Memories of him and Kalina play-fighting and talking of ruling the clan rushed through his mind in a dizzying manner, until they left just as quickly as they had come. "NO!!" he yelled as he jumped over to Kalina's side, tripping and falling so he was laying right beside her. Tavor used his muzzle to lift Kalina's head out of the sticky pool of red liquid. But it fell back down and lay there once more, still and lifeless. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in Tavor's side, and he turned his head to see a demonic fox face, its red eyes cruelly taunting him. "You!! You did this to me!!" he roared, jumping at the black mist, only to feel his paws hit empty air. The fox whipped around, but only saw his stunned clan mates staring at him, and Kalina's body resting where the two had been talking just moments before.
A wave of sadness washed over Tavor, forcing tears out of his baby-blue eyes. He suddenly felt very weak and tired, and his legs trembled beneath him before giving out, causing Tavor to collapse on the cold ground, where he broke down crying. The tears flowed out of his eyes like the blood had from Kalina and Arash. Ragged breaths and whimpers shook Tavor's body, and soon Kalina's mother, Accalia, who had also raised Tavor after his mother died, lay down beside the young king and nuzzled his cheek, then began licking his head as her own tears fell silently down onto the ground. All the other foxes stood around, waiting for Tavor to get up and begin to prepare Arash's and Kalina's bodies for the ceremony, which was a tradition that the fox clan had followed ever since it was founded. It was customary that whoever was leading the clan at the time would prepare what was needed for the ceremony.
After about twenty minutes, Accalia slowly got up, and gave Tavor a nudge. But the young fox didn't move. "Tavor, we have to prepare for the ceremony" she said in her soft, quiet voice. She thrust her muzzle under Tavor's chest and lifted him to a sitting position. But Tavor was just too shocked and drained physically and emotionally to get up, and he fell back down. "Oh Tavor..." Accalia whispered and lay down next to the fox and rested her head on top of Tavor's back as a few more tears were squeezed out of her eyes.
When Accalia decided to try and get Tavor to his feet again, the young fox was found to be asleep. When Tavor was awoken, he had forgotten what had happened, but when he lifted his head and looked around, it all came back to him. "Kalina!" he screamed, jumping to his paws. Next to Kalina's body, he saw his father's, and Tavor let out an unearthly cry of pain and horror before turning and running off into the scattered trees surrounding the camp. "Tavor!" Accalia called out after him. She started to run after the clan's leader, but stopped, knowing that the ceremony had to be prepared before nightfall. Accalia looked up at the cloud-covered sky, not being able to tell what time it was with the signs of an obvious thunder storm approaching. The vixen cast a hurt glance back in the direction that Tavor had run off in, then turned to prepare a ceremony in honor of Kalina and Arash.
Tavor kept on sprinting until he could go no farther, and collapsed from exhaustion. The fox's breathing was so rapid that he began to feel lightheaded and passed out. Soon after, the rain began to fall from the clouds and onto Tavor's red fur. It was the cold drops of water, along with a quiet crackling of thunder followed by a loud boom that woke him up. And...something else. The warmth of another animal at his side was what made Tavor open his eyes. The fox turned his head and looked over to see Bellamy, the one who had mocked him for so long, laying at his side and keeping him warm from the rain.
"Tavor?" the fox said in his calm, smooth voice. Tavor jumped up and got to his paws, but sat down almost just as soon. His muscles ached from the distance he had just run. "Did you-" the fox stopped mid-sentence. His father had told him to never accuse anyone, especially not a packmate, of something you could not prove they did. "No...I truly am sorry about what happened...and I'm also sorry about teasing you all the time. I talked about it with Red and Shade...and they're sorry too..." the fox explained. Tavor sighed. He could feel the tears coming back, but he didn't want to cry in front of Bellamy. Crying isn't going to make things any better... he told himself. He took a deep breath, and fixed his gaze on Bellamy. "No worries..." he said quietly, knowing that if he said any more he would end up crying again for sure.
"Yeah...we should probably get back to the camp..." Bellamy said. Tavor dropped his head down and took a few breaths. When he lifted his head again, he saw Bellamy staring at him with sincere worry in his amber eyes. Tavor nodded and slowly got to his feet. His muscles screamed at him to sit back down, but he just padded after Bellamy once the other fox had taken the lead. Tavor limped back towards the camp with his head down as the rain and wind beat down on him, and the lightning split the sky with scraggly claws, followed by explosions of thunder.
When Bellamy looked over his shoulder, he was barely able to see Tavor's body, he had fallen so far behind. "Tavor!" Bellamy called out, and ran back to the other fox. "Lean on my shoulder" he told Tavor, turning and offering him the chance to do so. Bellamy gave his fur on the left side a few quick licks in an attempt to make it a bit drier. Tavor, panting, leaned up against his new found friend, and together the two foxes slowly made their way through the freezing cold rain. I guess this is why his name means "friend"... Tavor thought.
It seemed like a painful eternity before they arrived back at the camp. A few foxes were huddled underneath the outcropping of rock where the two foxes had been brutally murdered; Tavor could recognize Accalia and Pyla, the mother of Red and Shade. Tavor could see the eyes and outlines of the others peering out from their dens whenever lightning flashed. But most of all, he could see the dead bodies of his father and dearest friend. The fresh memories were so agonizingly painful to think of that it seemed to hurt Tavor's eyes just to look at them. What happened had driven a nail deep into Tavor's heart; one too deep to ever be able to be freed.
"Tavor? Bellamy?" came the familiar voice of Accalia. The two foxes stopped, Bellamy, his muscles tired from supporting Tavor's weight as well as his, stood still, though not as solid as before. Accalia rushed over to the other side of Tavor, and together, her and Bellamy brought him up to his den above the outcrop of rock, beneath which the prepared bodies lay. Tavor was so exhausted, both physically and mentally, that he basically had no idea what was going on, and the two foxes at his sides were literally dragging him up to his cave. However, it was relief from the painful ache and fatigue of the journey he had just been on.
Once inside, he was finally closed off from all of the terrors outside. Accalia and Bellamy helped him lay down in his bed, and get his dry and comfortable. "Bellamy, go get your mother please" Accalia asked quietly. Bellamy nodded and went off to go find his mother. Dawn was her name, and she was the fox in the clan who dealt with herbs and healing sicknesses and injuries. She was a gentle vixen, but strict. If she had asked someone to do something, she expected it to be done when she had told them it had to be done. But despite this, she was well-loved and held with a high level of respect by all within the clan.
Soon Dawn came into sight, and immediately headed over to Tavor. "My goodness..." she whispered in a sad tone. Bellamy soon appeared inside the den as well, and sat down off to the side, as to not disturb Dawn and Tavor. The healer ordered Bellamy to go and get extra bedding from her den, then pushed a few leaves towards Tavor. "Eat these; they'll help you not to get sick" she said in a gentle but firm voice. Tavor stretched forward and took each leaf in his mouth, one by one. He shuddered at the bitter taste of them, and it was hard to swallow sometimes. Dawn nodded and rested a paw on Tavor's back encouragingly. When all the leaves has been eaten, Bellamy returned with more moss and a few downy feathers. Dawn took them and placed then snugly around Tavor. "Now just rest" she told him, purposefully not reminding him that the ceremony was tonight. And as soon as Tavor closed his eyes, he was asleep.
Tavor spent a while recovering from the aches and pains in his muscles, and was soon well again. But he never recovered from the wounds left on his heart. Sometimes Tavor's train of thought would appear to be altered, but usually after he thought about the issue at hand, he would make a more sensible decision. Usually. There was just one occasion when the fox made a mistake. Just one seemingly harmless attempt to prove to his clan that he could lead them left Tavor with no clan left to lead.
One cold and snowy evening a few foxes came back from scouting around the territory and immediately rushed to Tavor's den. "Tavor?" Shade's voice sounded urgent. The ruler lifted his head off his paws and looked expectantly at the vixen. "We were patrolling, and in part of that pine forest right outside the borders-well, at least that's where I'm guessing they were-we heard them!" she explained very quickly. Tavor cocked his head in confusion. "They were howling like they were angry or something!" Shade added. Suddenly Tavor knew what she was talking about. Wolves. He remembered all the stories he has been told about them when he was a pup. They were like foxes, but bigger, stronger, and faster.
The fox got to his paws, his gaze focused on Shade. "Please, go alert the warriors" he told her quietly. Shade have him a surprised look, but turned and went off to do as she was told. Tavor took a deep breath; his heart was already quickening its pace. I can't let something like this destroy my clan... he told himself. He took a few steps out into the bitter cold, and looked at the blazing sun as it set down over the horizon. He wouldn't attack so late; it would have to be done tomorrow. The fox king turned and headed back into his den and lay down, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
Tavor woke early the next morning, and immediately headed outside. The warriors were already awake, and laying down in a group together in a patch of weak sunlight. Tavor's body began to tingle with nervousness and cold as he went down the steps and padded over to the other foxes. Bellamy and Shade's sister Red were among them, and turned their heads along with the others to look at Tavor. Bellamy opened his maw. "Tavor, I don't really think this is a good idea..." he said. Tavor, knowing that Bellamy spoke the truth, just shook it off and looked around at the others. Bellamy and Red exchanged worried glances, then focused on Tavor again. "We...we just have to fight better than them!" Tavor said, trying to sound encouraging, but failing to do so. "These are wolves we're talking about" Red protested. "You can't fight better than wolves!" Tavor shrank back a bit. "We'll outnumber them!" he countered, his voice starting to sound shaky. "We don't even know how many there are" another fox pointed out. "N-nevermind that..." Tavor stuttered. Doubtful looks were cast around the group, Tavor's own included. "L-let's go..." he said.
The group of foxes carefully made their way out to where the wolves were reported to be. But when they arrived, there was no sign of the other animals. Tavor immediately felt relief, but that was quickly replaced with unease. "Stay on your guard" Bellamy warned the foxes, and stepped ahead of Tavor in order to look around. Suddenly there was a scream from behind them, and Tavor turned to see a huge dark gray wolf standing over the body of Red. "No!!" Shade screeched, sprinting towards the beast that had killed her sister. But the wolf just lifted a paw and swatted her away. Shade's body hit a tree and fell to the ground with a sickening thud. A tremor went through Tavor's whole body, almost causing him to collapse to the ground himself. What had he gotten himself into? It was almost like Kalina and Arash's death all over again.
More wolves began to creep out of the shadows, each much bigger than a fox, but not as huge as the brute standing in front of them. A wicked smile crept over the lead wolf's face, and a crazed kind of evil glittered in his black, beady eyes. Blood stained his teeth and muzzle, and began to drip down onto his chest fur as he glared at the foxes in front of him. There was a shocked silence for what seemed like hours, until Bellamy's voice split the air like lightning. "ATTACK!!!" he screeched as he leapt forward, followed by the rest of the foxes. Except for Tavor. The cowardly leader was frozen to the ground where he was standing. Suddenly he seemed to realize what was happening, and took off racing back towards the camp. None of the other foxes noticed, as they were all busy fighting for their lives.
Tavor madly dashed in the direction of the camp, and skidded to a halt, almost losing his footing and falling once he made it. Most of the clan was outside now, and were looking at him, worry reflected in their eyes. The fox just stood there, panting and shaking from both fear and exhaustion, until he finally spoke. "Go help them." Immediately every fox sprang to their paws in unison and sprinted off to go help their clan mates. Meanwhile, Tavor watched them all run, even Dawn the medicine fox. His azure gaze swept across the now abandoned camp. He thought about his clan back fighting against the monsters he had discovered in their territory. How could he just leave them like this?
He turned around and faced the direction of the battle. He wanted to go and help them, but it felt as if he couldn't move. He glanced over his shoulder at the flowers placed in a pond near the camp in honor of Kalina and Arash. If he didn't do something, the same thing would have to be done for the rest of his clan! The burning embers of love for his clan had burst into a scorching flame. Tavor turned and ran back to the battle even faster than he had run away from it. His silver paws never seemed to touch the ground as he pelted towards the dark forest. As he got closer, he expected to hear the sounds of the fight, but heard nothing but his own breathing and the blood roaring through his ears. It seemed to take an eternity, but eventually he came upon the site of the battle.
It was too late. The bodies and blood of his clan mates lay strewn across the forest floor. No wolves were in sight; neither dead or alive. Tavor's heart almost stopped; he almost joined his dead clan mates right then and there. Suddenly he let out an unnatural cry that sounded neither human nor animal, before turning and running off who knows where. All he wanted to do was get out of this place, the place that gave him so much hope and love, and then ripped it away from him. The pain was almost too much for Tavor to bear, and when he stumbled, he simply let himself fall roughly onto the ground. His whole body shook as he sobbed harder than ever before. The sun was nearing its peak, drying the dew and tears that lay on the grass below. Birds fluttered out and countered Tavor's crying with their own cheerful songs. And in this seemingly perfect atmosphere, the young fox cried himself to sleep.
Nightmares took turns torturing Tavor's broken heart as he slept restlessly. Finally, he woke from the horrible agony. Not even sleep could temporarily erase the intense, aching pain that gripped Tavor's heart. The scene of his dead clan mates kept revealing itself in Tavor's mind. Even when he had put miles between himself and the site of the disaster, Tavor couldn't find the strength to push the image out of his mind. All he knew was that he had gotten his clan mates killed, and to run. Just run as far away from that place as possible. Run away from the pain. Run away from the memories. Run away from his crushed dreams. Run away from everything he knew. Run away from his past, and start again.

Ueah, It was a really good story! Forest never disappoints when it comes to histories. xD
I love the way you added terms that relate to foxes, such as Vixen... and the way you included true facts such as how solitary foxes are in real life, but yet you created a logical approach as to why this fox clan existed.
