In the End

I slowly walked forwards. I could only see the floor, and the tight walls hugging me affectionately. A few feet ahead of me was a wall of pure darkness. As if it had transformed into a matter, awaiting to embrace me as I enter it. But the flickering flame, dancing gently back and forth in beat with my breath, made the shadows retreat with every move. This corridor I was in. It seemed like it was getting smaller. It seemed like I had to start crouching. It seemed like the walls started to go towards each other. Just to make me choke in the heavy air that was clamping down on my lungs.
The lighter I'm grasping onto, seems like it's slowly dying out... It is my last resort. It is the last thing I can care about. It is the last thing that keeps me going.
I don't really want to keep going. I want to sit down, and just let my soul slowly get carried away. I don't want to try anymore. I don't want to work anymore. For anything.
But this little flame... I waves at me. It calls at me. It reassures me that if I just try for a little while longer, things will get better. Things won't be as bad as they previously were. The corridor, and the dark will disappear so I can be free, once again.

- Sometimes, I want to give up. Sometimes I want to sit down and not do the things I need to do. I don't want to do what I have to do. Just lay down, and let all my worries go away, so everything can be perfect. Even just for a moment.
But in the end...
In the End, I do what I have to do. Sometimes I do it because I have no choice. Sometimes I do it because I choose it. I do it because want to. I do it because... I know if I do it... In the End. Things I love. Things I want. Things that's good. I know they will come. In the End.

What a meaningful writing...
Life is like a game. It throws things at you; it tests your strength and will. Life does not want you to succeed. It wants you to loose. It wants you to give up and fall into darkness. Only the strongest can prevail in this game, but even if you do... life will recollect your memories and ponder whether you deserve to go into the light. It is important to stay strong; to always grasp that little flame of hope. Giving up is failure; to give up makes you the laughing stock of life. People say that they are afraid of death, but it is life that is truly terrifying.
Never give up. Keep walking forward. Do not give in to the tests life throws at you. If you do this, the game will reward you
